Former Mr South Africa Finalist Launches his Own Pageant titled Mr. Gauteng

Johannesburg’s self-made businessman, model and former Mr South Africa finalist, Godfrey Mphatswe, is taking pageantry into his own hands.
Mphatswe, who is popularly known as Gee, announced that he will be running the first Mr Gauteng pageant which is scheduled to take place at the end of November this year. He will be doing so as the managing director and founder of Gee Junction Pty Ltd, his company that will be acting as a funder and organiser.
Mphatswe was a 2016 Mr South Africa finalist and later declared a Mr South Africa board member, which he has since stepped down from. He was also the Face of Bogart 2017 and is currently a model and ambassador for Door of Hope, an organisation that assists underprivileged children.

Like other pageants, Mr Gauteng will not only be about dressing well and looking good, charity work will be integral to it, especially after a winner is chosen.
He said he founded the pageant to provide a platform for young men in Gauteng and equip them with leadership and community building skills.
“The individual who will be crowned as Mr Gauteng will dedicate his time to serving the Gauteng province through charity work, youth empowerment initiatives and other incredible acts of kindness,” he explained.
Mphatswe said the pageant will prioritise building strong, confident, passionate and ambitious men. “The contestant’s skills, attitudes and behaviour will be put to the test to determine the deserving candidate,” he said.
He is calling on men between the ages of 18 and 30 to enter before 31 March.
