PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELf?
I'm Joval Anthony Eguawele, a model and a visual artist (painter), I'm from Esan West LGA of Edo state. I'm a model at Hues&Shades model management.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY?
Well, personally, I've always loved anything that has to do with being in front of the camera and being creative as well. To crown it all I'll just say, my passion for entertainment is what attracted me to the industry.
HAVE YOU BEEN INTO ANY FEMALE PAGEANT BEFORE?
Yes I have but it wasn't a national thing. It was a school pageantry where I emerged the winner. And the title of the pageant was "Miss Onyearebulem Hostel" while I emerged 1st runner up for "Miss Hostel".HOW DOES IT FEELS TO EMERGE THE OFFICE OF A BEAUTY QUEEN? AND HOW WAS THE EXPERIENCE?
Well, being a queen is an honour and at that moment or point in time I felt honoured, favoured and graced wearing the crown among other beautiful girls. It was really challenging but I was able to scale through by the grace of God coupled with the fact that I loved challenges and they make me stronger.
WHAT GOOD THING WOULD YOU SAY YOUR OFFICE AS A BEAUTY QUEEN HAS BRING FOR YOU?
My office as a beauty Queen has not only brought popularity to me but also opened my eyes to those things that I had within me that I wasn't seeing before I got into the office as a queen. It has helped me to learn new things about myself and has given me a strategy to conquer every form of challenge that may arise in every other kind of beauty pageants that I will be participating into, in times to come. Let's just say it has given me strength.
WITH YOUR OFFICE HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO HELP?Haha! It wasn't really for charity per say, it was just a contest for who will be the next "miss hostel" that everyone will know in the school... so it wasn't in my power to help people with my office, although I would have loved to help people because charity is something I love doing.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY?
For close to 3years now.
HOW MANY FASHION SHOWS HAVE YOU FEATURED INTO?
Eww! None for now. I'm still working on myself to hit the runway. But soon!
BEEN A BEAUTY QUEEN SO MANY PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A RIDE WITH YOU, HOW DO YOU HANDLE SUCH ADVANCE?
Hahahaha so true! But the fact is they are coming because of the influence and so I don't allow it to distract me by sticking to the rule which is "don't mix business with pleasures". It's one of those things any ways I just have to deal with it .WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?My hobbies are travelling, painting, surfing the net, taking photographs and doing something new.WHAT IS YOUR FUTURE ASPIRATIONS?Any ways, my future aspiration is to become that happy successful person whom almost everyone would want to look up to and emulate, who would touch lives and help people's dreams come alive and also become an example to society.WHAT OR WHO INSPIRED YOU TO JOIN MISS ONYEAREBULEM HOSTEL PAGEANT?Nobody in particular did but My passion for modelling, fashion and beauty gave me that zeal to go for it, since I know I have what it takes and with God's grace with me, I got a lot more inspired.HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR KIND PERSON?God fearing, Introvert, loving, caring, fast learner and a good listener!DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE FOR FASHION?Simple yet classy and elegant not the "hey everybody, look at me" kind of style. I believe that "less is more".HAPPIEST DAY IN YOUR LIFE?My birthday.SO HOW DO YOU THINK YOU WILL SURVIVE THE COMPETITION IN THE NIGERIA MODELING INDUSTRY?God's grace is all that matters and that's all I pray for all the time. Aside that, I put my best in all I do no matter how diffucult and challenging it may be to stay ahead in the race. So my best + God's grace is how I will survive!
