Here I present you Namibia top model. He has been busy and doing things in his own way in the modelling industry down here in Namibia. 

PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF? AND YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE? 

Mervin: I am a 27 year old Namibian, an adventurer and outdoor loving model, I love sports, I played soccer professionally in the Namibian Premier league until I had an ankle injury and that is when I decided to venture into modelling and that was really a great change in my life. I am an ambitious model who dream of gracing Top African and European fashion events and shows. As a model I gym three times in a week and do cardio twice a week, I make sure I eat well and get enough sleep, on certain days I visit orphanages around Windhoek and help out.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR GROWING UP? 

Mervin: I grew up in a small village called Huguis, I grew up in a typical extended family, surrounded by great cousins whom I looked up to for inspiration as we did not have alot but we still had that love and looking after each other, the only dull moments in my upbringing was every time I had to leave home for boarding school , all my schooling was in Catholic boarding schools and that really helped and prepared me well for a live far from home I was raised by my aunt who taught me great values of being a man.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE MODELLING PROFESSION? 

Mervin: I always saw it in me that I could do modelling, it was a believe that I had installed in me and people close and around me started noticing how I walk and how I sometimes carried myself and started encouraging me to give it a try and once I met a good friend Dennis Hendricks who's also a model, he dragged me to an audition and I went through and everything picked up from there.

HOW IS THE MODELLING CAREER TREATING YOU? 

Mervin: AWESOME, so far it has been a good ride, really enjoying every bit of this career, everyday is a vacation. I haven't received any negativity nor have I been shown the wrong door or exit door going pretty well.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOUR BODY FIT? 

Mervin: I mostly do cross fit cause I believe as a model, every part of your body has to be in top shape and cross fit workout is more of a total body workout and I'm an ardent fan of running so I take regular 5 km jogs two days in a week and I gym three days in a week. All this coupled with eating well and getting enough rest keeps my body in shape. 

HOW DO YOU HANDLE ADVANCES FROM FEMALES FANS? 

Mervin: I meet alot of beautiful and great women, may it be along the streets or at functions but I always steer away from temptations and all that by simply making it clear to them that I'm appreciating their beauty and grace nothing else, unless I'm with my lady then it's more reserved and don't get much of that. 

WHO INSPIRED YOU? 

Mervin: I am my own inspiration but I look up to a good friend of mine who's based in South Africa, Irvine Bosha.

WHO IS THE LUCKY WOMAN IN YOUR LIFE AT THE MOMENT? 

Mervin: Michelle Tjivikua, she's a really great woman, beautiful, ambitious, adorable. She's just awesome. 

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN? 

Mervin: I'm a bookworm, read alot of inspirational books, play basketball with friends or go have a good swim, but most of the time I am out catching up with friends. 

HOW DOES IT FEEL LIKE BEING A TOP MODEL? 

Mervin: It feels great getting all the glazes when you are around people and the compliments you got from admirers , it's a really special feeling.

WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE TO ALL YOUR FANS? 

Mervin: The support you give me encourages me to hustle harder not to satisfy myself but to make sure that what you have installed in me is not in vain. Love you all my lovely people. 

WHAT IS YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE IN FASHION? 

Mervin: I am versatile , I mostly dress according to an occasion but I am more of a rough and rugged dude.
